Bus Information

Seoul’s public bus system is a well-developed, cheap, and convenient form of transportation.

Seoul city bus which passes through Gangnam is classified as 4 types of buses. Each color is different and it is categorized as follows. When traveling with one bus, the general fee is charged regardless of the distance.

City bus

blue bus (Main line)

Bus running the main roads between Seoul city and satellite city.
The bus is marked with “B” and the bus number is a 3-digit number. (ex.141)
green bus (Branch line)

Bus running transfer connections/surrounding area of subway.
The bus is marked with “G” and the bus number is a 4-digit number.(ex.2412)
Red bus (Wide Area Line)

Express bus running capital area of the city (Gangnam, Yongdeungpo, etc) and to the capital city of (Ilsan, Bundang, Uijeongbu, etc).
The bus is marked with “R” and the bus number starts with ‘9’ and a 4-digit number. (ex.9412)
yellow bus (Circular Line)

Bus running circular route along downtown and main district (Gangnam district, Yongdeungpo district, etc)
The bus is marked with ‘Y’ and the bus number is a 20digit number.(ex.01)
